Just finished meeting with the small group leaders for the conference. Managed to give them an overview of the week without too much anxiety spilling out–my mood while writing can be plotted on a zig-zagging graph, and right now I’m in the valley of “hating this! this sucks! I want this to be over!” The pace is starting to wear me down. I don’t have time to enjoy the elation of finishing one piece, because the next one looms and tomorrow is the last time I have a significant uninterrupted chunk of time, and then the conference starts. Sermon 1 is done, Sermon 2 is 99.9% there, Sermon 3 is a mess, Sermon 4 consists of half-written, well-developed notes, and Sermon 5 is a really cool idea and a good story or two, but little more than that.

It’s a beautiful day here–sunny in the 70s. I miss hubby and my girl though. Today she said out (wanting to go outside), slide, bye bye ma (while I was getting off the phone), oink (pronounced k), and while playing with the spongy letters during bath time, pointed at them and said O, E, I. The fact that those weren’t the right letters could not be less important to me. Thank you Sesame Street! I think having G-mommy there has been fun for her.

Off to clean up the mess that is Sermon #3. Or maybe I should just wallow in it like the pig that says k.
