she clomps across the floor
in her shiny black mary janes
that she calls her tap shoes,
orders me to lie down,
and presses the stethoscope to my breast.
her eyes get that faraway, listening look.
then she turns for the thermometer,
adjusting her firefighter’s hat.

» I have been remiss in posting SBJ’s latest stats: 23 pounds and 27 inches at six months. Yes, I’ve got the big mama biceps.
» Aaaaaand little she-who-is lost another tooth this week!
» SBJ is four months old, 19 pounds 5 ounces, and 26 inches tall. GIGANTOR!

Haa ha ha ha! That’s great!
LOL, too cute!
I love this kid.

Too cute! Sounds like something my daughter would come up with!!!
Cute, cute! Oh, the choices!

I love your poetry and I’m jealous of your kids!
Yes, she is amazing! I suspect she’ll come up with about 200 other career choices before she finally settles on one, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it were to be…a reverand mother.
don’t mean to venture off topic, but what’s the name of the “Daily Show” blog that you read? I want to read what they’re saying about last night’s interview with Bill Kristol.
