stages of life, in bubbles at reverendmother

Lying motionless while bubbles float by.
Lying motionless while bubbles float by; eyes flash with delight.
Moving head and eyes to track the path of bubbles.
Moving hands and fingers to try and catch bubbles.
Closing hands and fingers around bubbles; cackling with glee.
Crawling toward the generator of bubbles; grasping for bubble bottle.
Saying, “buh.”
Saying, “buh-buh.”
Exhaling in the vicinity of the wand, held by someone else.
Puffing too vigorously into the wand; bubble solution pops.
Blowing just so to produce bubbles.
Blowing just so while holding the wand oneself; bubble solution gets everywhere.
Blowing slowly enough to produce one BIG bubble.
Forgetting about bubbles for many years.
Blowing bubbles while a baby lies motionless nearby.

I recall a certain group of post childhood, pre-childbearing young adults at a certain retreat facility blowing bubbles from a bridge-like device well after all reasonable persons had gone to bed one night. If memory serves I wasn’t the only RGBP standing up there….:-)
