word verification

Is it just me or are the word verification things getting much longer when leaving comments on blogger blogs?

Yes… and somehow I always seem to screw it up the first time through.

At least the second chance “words” are usually easier to read.

yes, and they scrunch up the letters so you can hardly read them. I have taken my word verification off of mine - if it’s hard for me read, it has to be hard for others to read. If I get spam, I will have to deal with it then.

I have noticed that too songbird!

I noticed that just today - definitely longer, and more complicated - and it’s a pain :(

It’s gotten so that I sometimes don’t comment because I have no patience for the verification. Typepad only pops up if you comment too quickly from one blog to the next, or 2 times in a row. At least I hope that’s what it’s doing.

A necessary evil, I guess, but dang irritating.

The odd typefaces are a challenge for my not-so-good vision, but I concur on the fact that the words are usually simpler the seond time through. Sometimes the random letter generator comes up with some inadvertent silly words, so occasionally I get a chance to laugh rather than curse at the word.
