Continuing the sense memory theme:
“Waaaaaaah!”
M at 5 a.m., lamenting molar #4, which has emerged halfway.
“Hi!”
M at a more civilized hour, waving in greeting.
C: I love God.
Me: Why?
C: Because God made me.
Me: What else did God make? M?
C: No! You and Daddy did!
“C is doing very well… she’s right on track with [list of skills]… she can pick out upper and lower case letters, in and out of sequence… she is learning how to write her name, holds the pencil well… gets along well with others… sometimes she doesn’t want to leave her baby doll to come to the art table, which is fine. Other times she will ask one of her friends to keep an eye on her baby while she goes to do art. She’s very conscientious about it.”
During a conference with C’s preschool teacher.
The soft clang! of a Tibetan bowl which I ring at the beginning and end of chapel with the preschool children.
Animated conversation between RM and friend K over tuna nigiri and bi bim bap at the local sushi/Korean place, discussing [content redacted for security reasons].
The crinkly sound of numerous chocolates being unwrapped throughout the day. Get this demonic jar off my desk!
Squeals of joy from M at pickup time.
“God our Father, God our Mother, once again, once again,
we are here to thank you, we are here to thank you, Amen. Amen.”
the RM family before dinner, with M bopping along in the high chair.
The swish of broom across floor as RM cleans up from M’s adventure in self-feeding.
Various hissing and growling between the two cats. What’s up with that?

» I have been remiss in posting SBJ’s latest stats: 23 pounds and 27 inches at six months. Yes, I’ve got the big mama biceps.
» Aaaaaand little she-who-is lost another tooth this week!
» SBJ is four months old, 19 pounds 5 ounces, and 26 inches tall. GIGANTOR!

nice soundtrack.
your sounds of the day reminds of Fred Craddock telling us to imagine what a text sounds like - drums, guitar … rock, classical, etc. - then imagine what music your sermon creates or what it would sound like if it were put to music. i often imagine events as music
I can’t wait for the typical day Tactile sensation post and the typical day smells post.
Tell Mr.RM that I think it is totally cool the way the comment posts darken and “emerge” as they post…kind of like invisible ink appearing as it is ironed.
That is cool, isn’t it?
Tactile will be a challenge. I’m much more visual/auditory.
Smells, well, I’ll get R to change the poopy diapers that day. For everyone’s sake.
I really like that table prayer…did y’all make that up?
No no, Mr RM’s family used to do it. (to the tune of “Are You Sleeping,” if that wasn’t clear)
Oh, I didn’t get the whole “are you sleeping?” thing. Even better. Love the soundtrack. As always, thanks for letting us in.
