The bummer of being on the East Coast is that the Oscars run WAY too late. I’m about to go to bed at the next commercial break and they haven’t even done the “In Memoriam” montage.

We were expecting wintry mix today, but got plain ol’ snow and several inches of it. The Lent stuff went pretty well, and it was fun to hear the congregation sing my little hymn. The writing class was a little off because some people I know who plan to be there weren’t, and others who had to be at both services decided to drop in on my class but probably won’t be back. Today was mainly introduction. We did an exercise I learned at the writing workshop in which we wrote for five minutes about our names—how we got our names, what they meant to us, whatever. It’s a nice way to get to know one another.

Ellen Degeneres is so cute. I wonder if I could manage that hairstyle.

Tomorrow is internet fast. Lots to do to get ready for the Tuesday night series. I always get really nervous before these things. What if people don’t come? What if the speakers are boring? Etc.

R and I had lunch today (Mamala was with the girls this afternoon). Good conversation. We have both been in our respective jobs longer than any other jobs we’ve had. Neither of us is interested in making any changes, but we’re experiencing the sort of “eh” feeling of not having any major changes or goals on the horizon. Hmm.
