Name five things you like a lot that some close relative or significant other did/does not like. This could be food, movies, hobbies, music, sports or whatever springs to mind.
Here are some things that I like that R doesn’t care for:
1. Slow Dying Woman Movies
2. Beets
3. Brussels Sprouts
And vice versa:
4. Honey
5. Techno music
Short and sweet this week!

» I have been remiss in posting SBJ’s latest stats: 23 pounds and 27 inches at six months. Yes, I’ve got the big mama biceps.
» Aaaaaand little she-who-is lost another tooth this week!
» SBJ is four months old, 19 pounds 5 ounces, and 26 inches tall. GIGANTOR!

R is now walking around the kitchen mumbling about okra, so I better add that. Okra. Boiled, fried, or the jewel in the okra crown—spicy pickled. He just won’t do it.
Another okra and brussel sprouts lover! Yeah!
I’m with you on the beets and okra. Also on SDWM. Have you ever seen “One True Thing”? The Scientist has an amazingly high tolerance for chick flicks, but–that was one I saw by myself.
yay for brussel sprouts again- why didn’t I think of that???
I love brussel sprouts, too.
I actually do like brussel sprouts, if they’re fresh and prepared well. It’s the previously-frozen, margarine-soaked cafeteria mushballs I can’t stand.
Same thing for beets… no-go on the canned, but take a fresh beet from the farmer’s market, grate it, toss with flour, salt and freshly-ground pepper, then pan-fry it as a patty… yum!
Okra is an abomination in all forms. If I want to eat snot, I’ll blow it out of my own nose, thank you!
Mr RM, you’re making me snort my glass of water! I am completely opposed to brussels sprouts. Okra can be redeemed only through frying. And not the pre-breaded frozen version, but really fried, cornmeal batter please. A friend from Kenya described stewed okra as “slimy,” where “slimy” is pronounced “slim” (like the opposite of plump) “y.” Yes, quite slimy indeed.
Mmmmm…. sprouts. Yum.
5 things that Xpatriated Texan likes and I can’t wrap myself around:
1) Okra
2) Chicken gizzards.. ewwwwwwwwwwww
3) Westerns (movies)
4) Procrastination!!!
5) Inventing his own sign within the Asian Zodiac charts (a mongoose no less.. Arrrrhhhhh)
5 things that I like and he can’t stand:
1) Pea Soup - but he makes a kick butt batch forme every winter.
2)Italian food - (but I think its because he hasn’t been exposed to the good stuff and refuses to do so.)
3)Fresh Mozzarella - HE thinks it tasteless
4)Wanting to talk on the drive home - so the trip goes faster, but then there isn’t anything to talk about when I get in - so he says….
5)and he thinks I ruin surprises because I am careful and check all charges on the credit card - daily - especially around gift giving time…
ohh geesh.. now he is coming up with a list of things.. to bad so sad.. already have in 5…hehehehe
