monday micro-update at reverendmother

Just said goodbye to Gmommy and Grandpa D, who visited over the weekend. We had a nice time—went to Suburban Lake Park for a picnic yesterday afternoon. Light breeze, lots of barefoot people. Today we went to the zoo. (Don’t tell the church… er, it was comp time.)
It was a busy weekend for me aside from their visit—preaching, plus healing service last night.
I may actually have NO meetings this week. Could it be possible?
Fun writing class yesterday. We wrote on the prompt “Something That Scares You,” which was a topic I’ve done in a class elsewhere. I encouraged people to be as specific and detailed as possible. Afterward I asked the question, “Does it feel more real and scary seeing it on paper, or does it reduce the anxiety to name it?” Interesting discussion and range of responses.
Just got an e-mail: “Can you meet Sunday evening with the seniors who are preaching on youth Sunday?” So much for NO meetings.
That’s all she wrote, for the moment.
