- I just finished my first column for Denominational Magazine. It was really fun to write, I’m happy to say.
- My bio is currently “[Reverendmother] is associate pastor at Suburban Presbyterian Church in Suburb, Mid-Atlantic State.” None of the other bios are cutesy, but most have a little more meat to them. Should I mention the kids? Add “writer” before associate pastor or does that state the obvious? “Poet”? Though that seems pretentious.
- One of C’s favorite games is The Little Mermaid. Which means she plays Ariel, who is mute for most of the story, while I play all the rest of the characters. I Hate This Game.
- You ministry types in particular will want to check out this blog, written by a pastoral counselor who is one of my dear people. Full of nicely written reflections on counseling and other good topics. Go say hi and tell your friends.
- Tomorrow I am off work and with the girls. We need to go clothes shopping—C has very few summer clothes, M has more thanks to hand-me-downs—and we’re almost out of toilet paper to boot. Woo! Big day!
- Man O Man has it been nice not to have evening meetings this week.
- Are you wondering whether this blog has jumped the shark? Keep reading. You never know when some juicy tidbit will come up.

» The latest on SBJ: at one year, he weighs 30.5 pounds (99%), is 32 inches tall (97%) and is 100% cute.
» I have been remiss in posting SBJ’s latest stats: 23 pounds and 27 inches at six months. Yes, I’ve got the big mama biceps.
» Aaaaaand little she-who-is lost another tooth this week!

Reverendmother is Associate Pastor at Such and Such A Church and All Round Ass Kicker for Jesus. I think that’s better, don’t you?
I was going to write something serious, but that won’t be possible. I’ll be too buy cleaning coffee off the screen.
Busy, that is.
I don’t care what’s in the bio as long as you wear the RGBP t-shirt in your photo.
You haven’t jumped the shark, but maybe you’re just changing Arnolds.
Writer, associate pastor…., mother and poet.
I like PPB’s!
However, if you go all wimpy on us and don’t do that, definitely include the poet part.
(juicy tidbit?)
Hope you found some good TP. That’s what we did today too. What has life become? Practical, I guess…….
And I’ll also go with ppb’s suggestion. Whenever you can get the word “ass” in a bio its a good thing - esp. in denomination magazine.
