My childhood home, which my parents bought for $45,000, is on the market. For $528,000. Who’s in?

FWIW … when we purchases our house in the “Fastest Growing County in the US” located in Northern Virginia, we paid $305K. Six years later, we sold it for $650K … six years to double in price.

Sounds like your parents’ home took a bit longer than that … Still, a great return on an initial investment.
