Asides
» I have been remiss in posting SBJ’s latest stats: 23 pounds and 27 inches at six months. Yes, I’ve got the big mama biceps.
» Aaaaaand little she-who-is lost another tooth this week!
» SBJ is four months old, 19 pounds 5 ounces, and 26 inches tall. GIGANTOR!

No link showing here…
Yeah, I meant to do that.
So OK, how irrational am I that I find it a smidge too transparent to link directly to a page with my full name on it, but I make the page in question really easy to google?
I thought it was another of those Clever Allusions to Things Not Really Named. It never occurred to me to google it.
I still don’t really understand free verse, but I liked it. Mine’s all iambic and rhyming, so I doubt there’s much point submitting it anywhere.
okay, I admit that I also did not think to google it, but once I did….excellent. Have you published that poem (or a version of it) here as well? I remember the last line, and I remember thinking “this is exactly how I feel about mother’s day and how much my friends seem to forget to send things or talk to their mothers or take their mothers for granted.”
good work, friend…
I was an English major in college, and I honestly don’t know what there is to “understand” about free verse. You don’t understand what makes free verse free verse? You don’t understand what’s so great about it? etc. I’m curious.
Teri, yes, I wrote it last year, which is another reason I didn’t link.
I talked to R about the linking and apparently I’m not too paranoid. There is a way to see what pages link to other pages, but it’s not straightforward, so few people would probably do it. But better to be cautious, since as he put it, “You never know what Google will do *next* year.” So, there it is.
