Tuesday morning is the ultrasound. We had an early u/s that suggested a boy, although
a) the tech said “don’t buy blue yet,” and
b) the midwife pooh-poohed trying to predict gender at 12 weeks. And yet,
c) the genitals have formed by then, which makes it technically possible to see something.
So……..

18 and change, E, but Mamala convinced us to schedule the u/s before my siblings arrive because she thinks my brother and I are going to have a good-natured throwdown over which of us gets to name our baby after our dad!
In truth, however—hey, this is my brother’s first child. We had no family interference on our naming decisions, which was wonderful, and I wouldn’t dream of denying a son the opportunity to name a firstborn son after his father.
Not to mention that Dad’sName Lastname would have an irritating rhyming quality to it. Dumb lastname…
I’m having visions of blue for you, but it could be the spicy salsa I had earlier. On the other hand, I think gender-specific colors are silly-buy green!!
Winnie the Pooh, Veggie Tales, and Sesame Street baby items are gender neutral too! My SIL did everything yellow and green. We went with Pooh for the 1st babe, since I didn’t want to know ahead. Since the 2nd time, I DID have twins, we found out genders ahead of time…I thought it a little more important to know! LOL!
