» I have been remiss in posting SBJ’s latest stats: 23 pounds and 27 inches at six months. Yes, I’ve got the big mama biceps.
» Aaaaaand little she-who-is lost another tooth this week!
» SBJ is four months old, 19 pounds 5 ounces, and 26 inches tall. GIGANTOR!

Love that.
When you were about C’s age and your sis was about M’s age, your dad and I took a trip to Rio/Brazil for about the same length of time you will be gone. Although it was very liberating to be away from kiddos, it was also a time for me to treasure and reflect on what I loved (and missed) the most about being a mamala.
This “poem” was inspired by this week’s writing workshop which talked about line breaks and stanzas. The lecture included two one-line poems, both much more clever than mine (for one thing, able to be set up without resorting to a 17-word title).
Mom, I remember you brought me a doll that wore a really colorful dress a la Carnaval. You turned it over and pulled the dress the other way and there was a doll on the other side, wearing something equally striking.
What to bring C and M? Haggis?
Oh…Cuddly Highland Cows were both widely available and really quite charming last time I was north of the border…
Wish there were a hope of connecting with you while you’re on the right side of the Pond, but it’s just not going to happen, is it…But have a wonderful trip, & try not to miss the girls too too hugely xx
I bet you could get haggis through customs…you know, if you put it in a plastic bottle and then a quart size ziploc bag…
How about hug(gis)s?
