    Wow. What a cool pic.

  2. 2 ppb

    For real? wow.

  3. 3 Preacher Mom

I used to think that Rosemare was going to punch her way out the side. Looks like Bonus Baby has the same idea!

It fun to watch all the bumps and bulges that start to happen! Maybe you should sign BB up for some martial arts lessons?

  5. 5 Ashley Goff

how did you get that picture? incredible!

  6. 6 saying grace

Now that is a cool photo.

Have you seen The Bodies exhibit in Arlington? Wow. That is something to see and before you have this new baby.

This makes me think “Trey” will come before December!

And I’m glad to hear a first person review (saying grace) about that exhibit. The advertisements for it kind of put me off, but maybe I’ll check it out now.

Ashley, I got it off a website. It’s actually the foot of a 37 week fetus. I am only 28 weeks. But I have noticed that the movement of the baby has changed in recent days. There are more presses and protrusions than indistinct kicks. It’s fun to try and figure out whether it’s an elbow, foot, butt, etc.

SG, I have really wanted to see that exhibit.

26 weeks here and I can usually tell where the head is, just by looking and feeling. I will confess though that sometimes I’m not sure what is head and what is butt. (Opportunity for some kind of joke here, I’m sure, but it’s my baby, so I’ll refrain). Weird. Starting to feel like that woman…what was her name…Sigourney Weaver? in Alien.

Been there. Done that. Know what you mean.

    That is an awesome picture!

  12. 12 Diane

all I can say is “wow.”

  13. 13 the vicar of hogsmeade

cool picture. I sent it to my sister who is due in mid-October

  14. 14 Texas ClergyPal!

stunning! And it even helps me some with the sermon I am pondering (I know– still pondering on Friday morning. Kind of makes me a wreck!) this morning on Psalm 139.

  15. 15 the local MD

Amazing picture but the position of this foot makes me think this baby is breech. Glad to know it is not you and Bonus Baby! I thought the pregnancy was flying by a little to quickly.

  16. 16 reverendmother

LMD, do you think it is real? R has decided that someone had fun with Photoshop. I’m not sure. I know the uterus is pretty thick, but I also know that the kicks and flexes can be really strong…

  17. 17 The Local MD

I believe R is correct. I have seen one patient with an abdominal pregnancy (outside the uterus) at 35 weeks and the small parts were not this visable. It is a great picture though. It makes so evident what patients always say and what I remember from my own pregnancies. It is as if the baby is trying to kick his way out.

Speaking as a heavy Photoshop user… The shadows look a little too black to me. The shadow on the navel has less black and more pink.

They’re a little too even, too–and the toes and balls protrude too much from the plane of the foot. I agree with R.

  19. 19 reverendmother

LMD, you just reminded me that the divine miss M kicked really hard while she was actually in the process of being born. As if she were launching off the side of a swimming pool. It was way cool.

  20. 20 ms. reverend or not

i agree this pic is cool, but, as someone who has never given birth/been pregnant, it wigged me out a bit… so i’m glad it’s probably not real!
