So when I feel like I’m doing the pregnancy waddle-step, I try to think of it as a swagger instead. It just makes me feel less frumpy, more “I own the room.” Hey, if menopausal women can have power surges, darnit, I can swagger.

I am better today, but moving slowly and carefully. I can put M on my lap while sitting no problem, and I did have to lift her out of the crib this morning, but I was very ginger about it. It was fine. I am having my quarterly lunch with Laidback Clergypal which involves a 45 minute drive there and back. Hopefully that won’t undo all the good done by yesterday’s rest. Sitting is pretty comfortable, actually. I hate to reschedule since he’s returning a lot of our baby stuff as well as supplying us with tons of baby boy clothes. And I would just as soon have all that in hand.

I got a taste yesterday of what bedrest would be like, and… boring. I would probably be less bored if I could be propped up as opposed to flat on my side, but… Oh, the indignities of pregnancy. I shan’t be doing this again.

This is the third week of the month, which means no evening meetings. Woo-hoo!

This weekend was a true Sabbath weekend. We did go to the fall festival/pumpkin patch on Saturday, but were very relaxed about it. Then yesterday we all vegged. R has had a cold and it was nice to give ourselves permission to lay around.

A week from today is our 13th wedding anniversary. Kinda snuck up on us this year! I’m preaching this weekend, but I think we will go out Friday night; the girls will be having a sleepover at MaDear’s.

More later.

When Kathleen was in the last trimester with twins, she ordered the entire BBC chickflick collection on DVD.

During the first six months, we got the first season of Frasier from Netflix. That season was very sharp–and minus the commercials, they’re about 20 minutes each, so we could occasionally almost watch a whole one.
