Is it possible you snuck into their room and bonked her on the head with a hammer? My boys sometimes wake up crying when I do that.

Did she see the Junglebook, tiger tries to get baby scene? Something scary on TV? I remember that as a child I had terrors about big elephants chasing me after seeing a picture of an elephant in a magazine. Good luck!

Slept through it, or at least didn't get up. Actually she did get up and come down the hall at one point because her "leg hurt," and that set M off again.

She was definitely the most cheerful one of us at breakfast.

Oh no....I was so hopeful!

M did this on Friday night too so I don't necessarily think it's the new sleeping arrangements. Hope the cause of it can be identified though. What did C do when all this was going on?

What worked for us...
when we switched L from a crib to her bed, we had to rearrange the rather small room a bit, but we made sure she could see the same picture on the wall across from her and a mobile she liked. Maybe there was something M could see in her room that comforted her that you could put in C's room so when she wakes up she sees something familiar?
As with all things, this, too, shall pass.

I'm trying to think of what causes that with my boys. I think it's usually one of these things:

1. Brother making noise.
2. Crib oriented differently than usual.
3. Gas.
4. Wants a parent to come in and soothe him by letting him watch Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!

while hellish and dramatic....if this was one of my kids, I look at it as reaction to change. You all have a lot going on--never underestimate a kids ability to connect to all of this. Be thankful you are doing this now and not in a month. Good luck.
