I compromised with R on the toe. He suggested I go to urgent care. I opted for my primary care doctor instead.
Although the doc convinced himself that the toe wasn’t broken, he couldn’t rule out the possibility of a small fracture further down in the foot, where most of the tenderness and bruising are. I’m pretty sure he said something about “crutches,” but I’m blocking that out. I HATE crutches, even when my body isn’t a misshapen mass of sore joints and baby. So I have an appointment with an orthopedic doc tomorrow at 1.
Everyone I’ve told this to says the appointment *guarantees* that I’ll have the baby by then. Oh, how I wish it were that easy. Still, I have been having fairly strong ctx all day, though very irregular. Very. I can tell they are doing something. (Whoo! Just felt a big ‘un.) But remember last time? I did this for 12 days before M finally arrived.
Still, Mamala is coming out tonight. Just in case.

At least you’re not riding an ass trying to find a place to stay for the night.
Wrap that foot with a big huge ace wrap so that no one “accidentally” bumps it while helping you get into position for delivery.
I had a dream about your delivery last night.
Praying for a quick and easy delivery, and that the birth will distract from the sore foot. They do say it’s pain with a purpose, right?
Oh dear! I’m off to see the orthopod tomorrow too, alas….too bad we can’t transfer the bad foot to me, as long as I’m limping anyway?

I am just delighted - BB’s bday is the day after my oldest son’s bday(celebrated #24 yesterday) so will have an easy memory-jogger. I refrained from saying “it’s gonna happen NOW” when RM posted the news about the contractions but I had that feeling…..what a blessing. Welcome to the world, BB!!!!!
