Today was mommy-daughter time with little she-who-is. Look what we made!
We’ve definitely refined our technique—I got the consistency of the icing better. Last year’s was the Salvador Dali house.
It took us all day: assemble walls, nurse J, put on roof, nurse J… etc.
And here is the side that M helped with:
In other tales of domesticity, I made edible play-doh this evening:
18 ounce jar peanut butter
6 T honey (I only had about half that on hand)
powdered milk
Mix PB and honey. Add enough powdered milk so the dough resembles bread dough.
I think we’ll play with it tomorrow, adding marshmallows, chocolate chips and the like.
Advent is fun when one isn’t working!

» I have been remiss in posting SBJ’s latest stats: 23 pounds and 27 inches at six months. Yes, I’ve got the big mama biceps.
» Aaaaaand little she-who-is lost another tooth this week!
» SBJ is four months old, 19 pounds 5 ounces, and 26 inches tall. GIGANTOR!

I could just eat this house up…oh yeah, that’s what you’re supposed to do with a gingerbread house.
You’re a great mom, RM!
seems to me that giving m her own side was a stroke of genius, particularly since kids c’s age can be very into rules and doing things right… not like i actually know what i’m talking about. anyhow. fun.
What a great idea! I’ll have to try it with babygirl. Of course it may have to wait until AFTER Christmas services. Or I could do it this summer when I’m on maternity leave.
What a great way to bring out a smile. It is precious and M rocks - Lots of candy - yum!
