Or so said College Pal the other night. (uh, they’re both perfect squares too!)
Today I am closer to 40 than I am to 30. Oy.
Free to Be sent me a card that said, “Whew! What a year!” 2007 was a big year, but 2008 promises to bring even more change: I go part-time. R changes jobs. C will go to kindergarten, M will go to preschool, and J will learn to hold his head up.
Happy New Year to all, and Happy Birthday to Me.

» I’m looking for some new online reading materials–blogs, zines, whatever. Creative yet accessible, inspiring but not schmaltzy, smart but not impenetrable. Recommendations welcome.
» The latest on SBJ: at one year, he weighs 30.5 pounds (99%), is 32 inches tall (97%) and is 100% cute.
» I have been remiss in posting SBJ’s latest stats: 23 pounds and 27 inches at six months. Yes, I’ve got the big mama biceps.

Just think, the next perfect square is 49 (for which I am older).
and, a very Happy Birthday to you! My birthday is not too fer behind ye.
But 44 is the new 36. So chin up.
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday - and love and blessings for the year ahead
Happy birthday, you spring chicken you!
Happy Birthday, Perfect Square! Your New Year really is a new year, isn’t it! Enjoy!
And I’d hate to imagine what 51 is (the new 48?).
Happy Birthday RM and it’s going to be a great year!
59 (in a month or so) is the new 39…everything is relative.
I’m so glad you came to this earth 36 years ago today! And your sibs should thank you for being your dad’s and my “experimental” first baby! Even at an early age, you taught us a lot.
HB, RM, ILY.
If 36 is the new 25, and 44 is the new 36, and 59 is the new 39, then what is my new age? I will be 43 in March.
Happy birthday. May all your family enjoy new endeavors this year!
Geeze. I dunno if I really like the thought of being a perfect square…
Thankfully I will be a square plus one next week!
Happy, happy birthday, RM!
Enjoy the day, looking forward to all of the adventures and blessings the new year will bring.
No big deal, don’t worry about it. I discovered last year that 50 is the new 35 (though actually it felt more like 39 or so). Happy Birthday!
Perhaps we should all just go with PPB’s solution of being perpetually 27 . . . and many blessings for 2008!
happy birthday!
And gray is the new black.
Happy, Happy Birthday, Reverend Mother!
Oh, what a great day! Happy, happy birthday!
So young, so young…
Happy Birthday!
yikes. just realized i’m older than your mom (turning 60 in 2 weeks). i never really thought of you as the next generation even though you clearly are. . . perhaps because you’re such an old soul. (you told me folks had told you that you’re an old soul when i asked how you came to be so deep and wide when you lead a retreat a few years ago.)
as we light these candles to celebrate your birthday, know that we’re really lighting them to symbolize how much we cherish the light of who you are. blessings.
Ah, 36 was a good year = and so is 52. Enjoy it, one day at a time. Didn’t know R was changing jobs - lots of transitioning - all will be well.
Happy birthday!
The numbers are all relative anyway.
Happy (belated) Birthday to you! I just had my 47th on 12/31. Made it through another year; yay!
I have some catching up to do here. I figured by now, I would be reading about your new addition, and sure enough…
Happy New Year to you all.
I will be reading more to learn about the goings on of new mom, and all. Peace…
