We took sweet baby J for his one-month ped visit today. (You know the whole dog years thing? Well, did you know that for a third child, one month is really seven weeks? *cough*)
He’s 13 pounds 10 ounces, which is 50%ile. I can’t remember his height but that is 25%ile. I’d noticed he was looking a bit jowly. Kids seem to grow like accordions, so I suppose he’ll sprout up soon enough. (And that method of marking the examining table paper with a pen seems really unreliable to me.)
It’s weird to have a kid who’s in the middle of the charts, since both girls were over the top. (They still are, and in more ways than one.) Though I just looked up M’s stats and she was 13#15 at two months. So they are very similar.
Anyway, he’s perfect.
He cried during his one shot, but within 20 seconds or so was beaming at the nurse. Lord help us.
He also had his first excursion to MaDear’s. Actually two excursions: Saturday night, R and I went to dinner, and last night R had Daddy-Daughter Time* with the girls while Mamala watched J and I met some friends. I think he enjoyed it; the photo was taken Saturday night. (Blurry photo—dim room and iPhone)
* Actually C calls that Daddy-Daughter-Daughter time.
