Maybe I impressed on her too much that the next time we ride the Metro together, she'd have to have one (was there a part of her that thought she might not get to come to DC with me the next time?). And I slipped on the ice this morning (beware of brick sidewalks!) and must have fallen in a good way, as I have a big huge bruise on my left hip and elbow but nothing worse than that. I suspect I'll hurt in places that I don't yet know about over the next few days, but no broken bones which I'm very grateful about!
