The toddler and the baby are ASLEEP AT THE SAME TIME!!!

Make your guesses here as to how long that will last.

I can understand the total relevance of this post in that it’s an actual post and not an aside! :-)

    22 minutes

You got a whole 22 minutes??!?!?!

I was going to guess 25 minutes, so I was close…

SBJ was the one who woke up. He’s asleep again. It is tricky because they’re both in our room. So I am listening for any small peep so the other won’t wake up. M has not taken a nap at home in weeks so this is big.

I was going to say “My guess is it’s already over.”

I was going to say 4 nanoseconds. Not surprised it was SBJ who woke up first. Little A sleeps in 4 nanosecond bursts during the day.

And I hope you enjoyed those 22 minutes. Aah.

So I had to intervene with SBJ, twice, to settle him back down, but they ended up sleeping 90 minutes total.

    Wow.

Folks, this is unprecedented. I may go buy a lottery ticket!

Dealing with just one doesn’t really fall into the same league; but 90 minutes is a wonderfully long time!

Amazing, grace…how sweet, few sounds - for ninety minutes, whole.
Hope you enjoyed this quiet time, peace for your very soul.

    With apologies to John Newton…

It must be something in the water. I got both my three-year-olds to sleep at the same time on Sunday, and had 90 actual minutes of writing time.

    So let’s see… estimating a 100,000-word novel, averaging 400 words a week…
