I leave tomorrow for several days of study leave, with my clergy assistant SBJ in tow. Now that I’ve got the papers done and the bags (mostly) packed, I am now super excited to see NotShyChiRev, Texas Clergypal, will smama, apstraight, Laidback Clergypal, Seminary Galpal, and several non-pseudonymed folk.
I won’t have internet access except for on my iPhone, so no blogging… don’t know how I’ll make it through Tuesday and the Pennsylvania primary without net updates!
I’ll leave you with this mangled English from the back of our Cheerios box:
Over the past six years, Cheerios has contributed $5 million to First Book and has distributed more than 2.5 million books to kids inside cereal boxes.

» Aaaaaand little she-who-is lost another tooth this week!
» SBJ is four months old, 19 pounds 5 ounces, and 26 inches tall. GIGANTOR!
» THIS is some brilliant satire. I bow in humble amazement.

Safe travels, sweetie and SBJ. Don’t worry ’bout a thing. I’ll be here to help the Rev. Husband and the girls left behind, if needed.
ahahaha! i always hope i get a kid in my cereal box, but i never do!
I tried to post cell-phone pictures of a Cheerios box to my facebook account the other day, with the caption “More proof marketing people are illiterate,” but I couldn’t get the focus sharp enough to read.
Under the heading “Oh, what a difference Six Weeks makes” was a list of things you could do in six weeks. One of the list items:
• By the time you’d read that novel cover to cover, you could start a new chapter in heart health
Which is worse, the twisted tenses, the incompetent punctuation, or that it takes whoever wrote this copy thinks it takes six weeks to read a novel?
those must be some teeny tiny books.
Hope you and the cute clergy assistant have a good trip.
Hmm…kids in little boxes…little boxes…little boxes made of ticky-tacky…cardboard, whatever. Think outside the box. Read inside it, I guess.
