Thing the First: Your eight-month-old sitting on the living room floor, munching away on… something.

Thing the Second: Your five-year-old holding a wad of your two-year-old’s hair.

Thing the Second necessitated a trip to the hair salon to do something about this:

I’d say they did a nice job.

Though, the divine miss M seems to be pooh-poohing the fancy-schmancy haircut in favor of her own work:

So did C say why? Was this a sign that she has a great future as an avant-garde hair stylist?

  2. 2 Mamala

I knew it…you just can’t mess with perfection. The Divine Miss M looks even cuter with this new do.

  3. 3 ms. reverend or not

actually, that’s kind of the haircut i want (the latter, not the former… though c’s take is certainly unique, if nothing else).

    ha ha ha!!!

aren’t you glad you work part-time so you can see/do all this stuff?! really!

Clarification: M did that to herself. C was just cleaning up afterwards, which tells you everything you need to know about their personalities.

Well, it could have been worse…. C took out a fairly uniform clump, and from the length rather than the crown. It’s the small blessings, right? M’s new ‘do looks like Scarlett’s usual, so I’m a bit biased when I tell you how darling M looks :-)

    Cute!

But where is the missing chunk of bangs that leaves three inches of exposed forehead? That’s what *both* my kids ended up with.

So Thing the First remains a mystery?

And C and M are going to be the poster children for Firstborn and Middle Child?

All three are cuties, regardless of hair cut.

Yeah, that’s a pretty straight cut for the back of her head!

As for SBJ chomping on something of unknown origin - we got through that with both the child AND the dog. We consider ourselves blessed that she’s only eaten one piece of dog food! Other things? Yeah, she’s gotten those too, but there is something just downright gross about dog food.

All it needs is a little flip at the ends

my girls each did the “cut the bangs to the roots” thing at some point — Hannah did it a week before we moved to a new church, ah well. Also, I’m curious — what WAS SBJ eating?

I think M just wanted a haircut like her big sister’s! M looks darling - my gosh, she grew up in a few snips!

Truly, you are blessed. Your kids have done the ‘cut hair’ thing and all bangs were left to tell about it. AND it was not Church Directory day.

Call me crazy but me thinks you’ve actually hit the jackpot.

    ouch and laughin’

Vis-a-vis the mystery snack, it will build up his immune system. At least that’s what I always said when one of my kids did it.

I love her haircut! I have to agree with the first and the mystery item in the mouth! Little D had a nice sized wad of Play Dough in his mouth this evening! Thankfully, it is non-toxic!
