   I’m hoping someone much more clever than I can come up with a good ad along these lines. Of course they’ll probably want to steer clear of the “Obama’s like Jesus” angle.

   and when i wear my obama t-shirt, folks invariably respond! and i do the same w/ perfect strangers—usually greeting them w/ “yes we can” which always draws a response.

   I want one of the bumper stickers, but when I followed the link that seller had a different one: Jesus was a community organizer. Pilate was a governor. Not sure I want to go there… but thanks for the link to the article.

   I agree completely…I mean, puh-leeze!

   The patent snarkfest of the last three nights (absent the snoozefest that was McCain’s speech) cemented my belief that what is essential here is not just winning the White House for progressive change, but insuring a 60 vote Senate majority…not so things can be rammed through, but so a vision can have a real chance…and can stand or fall on it’s success and responsiveness to people’s needs.

   As I try to summarize things for myself, I see two parties with candidates that have wonderful narratives, but only one where the story is backed up by a vision and a plan that will make life better for most Americans…and, do I dare say it, not just America, but the world.

   Aside: Can’t ONE politician say, “God HAS blessed America. Now may God use us to bless the world”?

   I’m with you, Bruce. I get more and more annoyed with “God Bless America” every day, and I don’t waant to feel like that…
