So our thirdborn’s alias on this blog is SBJ, or sweet baby J, which makes his name pretty easy to figure out if you know the song.
What you may not know is that little she-who-is also has a song with her name in the title, and which also contains the word “Sweet” in it.
We have both of these songs on an ipod playlist, and the kids enjoy dancing to them.
The playlist also includes a song featuring my name—not in the title but the chorus. Unfortunately it reminds me of an ex-boyfriend, but it’s the only song I know with my name in it, so we’re sticking with it. Also I’m “walking away” in the song, so maybe it’s appropriate for that boyfriend.
This particular ipod playlist also includes “City of Blinding Lights” which little she has called “the Obama song” ever since the Democratic Convention.
We decided the divine miss m needed a song, so we did a search on iTunes. After listening to a few 30-second samples, we found one that talks about a little girl named M, with a chorus that fits her peppy personality.
We downloaded the whole song, which is catchy and perfect for a three year old to dance to. Unfortunately, while it does so subtly, it tells the story about the girl growing up to be a porn star.
But it’s got a good beat, and you can dance to it…
Do you have a song?

Yes, he needs one too, doesn’t he?
We did do a search for R but couldn’t find anything.
hmmm….
Mine could be “Love is kinda crazy with a spooky little girl like you…”
If I had one, it would probably be from the 1800’s, since that’s the last time my name was popular.
I thought of a Four Seasons song with your name in it, but it’s spelled differently.
I knew there was another one, but I couldn’t remember.
Google your first name and Belafonte. We had this on an album when I was a kid.
Wow.
You’re old.
