Just got an e-mail from M, courtesy of her day-care provider: “Mom I want you to bring new clothes, because my other clothes got wet and I don’t like the pants.”

Last week it was homemade blackberry jam; today it was bread pudding with one of the church matriarchs. This rocks. But I am SO working out today.

To round out my day of C-related statuses: just about nothing makes me happier than the first grader deciding to write: unprompted, spontaneous, completely for her own pleasure.
